Fightless bird, american mouth.

DO YOU LIKE TWILIGHT? THIS IS A SONG OF IT. CLICK ON THE VIDEO AND HEAR THE SONG. IT'S VERY BEAUTIFUL!!

Emma Watson, a model student

Emma Watson, 19, who plays swotty Hermione in the Harry Potter movies, is also brain in real life. The British actress is now studying at the prestigious Brown University on Rhode Island, one of the oldest universities in the USA. The university is expensive but gives financial aid to those who need it. Still, as the new face of Burberry, that shouldn't be a problem for Watson, who could be the best-dressed student on campus.

THE PROPOSAL

Sandra Bullock is a tyrannical book editor forced to her knees by her assistant, Ryan Reynolds.
She is ambitious, tyrannical and hated by everyone who works for her, especially her assistant, Andrew. She has one problem, however: she is Canadian, and the US Immigration Service is going to deport her. Unless, of course, she can marry an American citizen. Like Andrew, for instance. Andrew understands that Margaret is a monster, but accepts her proposition on one condition - that she promotes him to editor.
Initially, it is impossible to care about either Margaret or Andrew because their motives are entirely cynical and mercantile.

Personal Opinion:
I think that this film is a good comedy and I enjoy it a lot.

If you want, you can see the TRAILER.

LEONARDO DICAPRIO, Star with a conscience

DiCaprio has also used his celebrity status to get engaged politically and socially. In 2007 he produced and narrated The 11h Hour, an environmental documentary about the threat of global warming.
As for his future ambitions (doing more environmental work and starting a family), DiCaprio believes there are no limits as long as he doesn't get cynical. "There is a lot I want to do and the more cynical. you become, the more you sit on your butt and do nothing", he says. "What I want is to be known as someone who stood for something".

Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to enquire about a lottery funds community project in our town.
Woodford is a small town in the south England. In this city.
There are a lot of roads in and around the town, but there aren't any cycle paths in the town centre. For that reason, we would like to make cycle paths here.
This project will help the environment and the people of the town. I would be grateful if you could send me information about lottery grants. If you have any question about it, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Yours faithfully,

Clàudia Soler

DIALOGUE INVITATIONS AND EXCUSES

Mariona: Hey look, Clàudia. That DJ is playing again this weekend.
Clàudia: Yeah? Where's he playing?
Mariona: At The Warehouse on Friday.
Clàudia: Right. I'm definitely going to that. Would you like to go with me?
Mariona: I'd love to, but I'm afraid I can't. My parents wouldn't be very happy about it.
Clàudia: Go on! They wouldn't mind.
Mariona: No, sorry. I'm supposed to be going out with them that night anyway.
Clàudia: That's a shame. Oh well, do you fancy going out another night?
Mariona: I'll think about it, OK?

DESCRIBING AN OBJECT

Mariona: Excuse me, I've lost a bag. Has anyone handed one in?
Woman: A bag? What sort of bag? What does it look like?
Mariona: It's a backpack. It's red and black.
Woman: A red and black blackpack. Hold on a minute. I'll go and have a look.
Mariona: OK, thanks.
Woman: No, sorry. I'm afraid we haven't got anything like that. Where did you last have it?
Mariona: I think I left it in the café.
Woman: What was in it? Were there any valuables?
Mariona: Well, my camera was in there, and a jacket.
Woman: OK. Well, leave your name and number and I'll contact you if it turns up.

RETURNING A PRODUCT

Clàudia: Hello. How can I help you?
Mariona: Oh, hello. I'd like to return this film, please.
Clàudia: OK. What's the problem with it?
Mariona: Well, it's scratched and it jumps. It was scratched when I played it.
Clàudia: Mmm, that's strange. When did you buy it?
Mariona: I only bought yesterday!
Clàudia: Have you got the receipt?
Mariona: Yes, here you are.
Clàudia: OK. Well, I can give you a refund, or do you want to choose another film?
Mariona: I'll choose another one, thanks.

WRITING An article: living with a disability

My name's Clàudia and I've been deaf since I was three. I had many problems in primary and secondary school but I'm at 4th of ESO now.
Life has always been difficult for me. For example, I have to listen to the teachers very attentively and I have to be really careful and only read the books. I can look after myself OK, but I need help with one thing: taking notes in every class. I also have a special programme on my computer with some notes but it's not enough. There are some things which annoy me: I can't listen to music, for example. If I'm in a place like a disco or a loud bar, I can't listen to it. i don't care about my disability but sometimes I feel very sad. Usually people want to help me, but they want to help me when I don't need help!
